Steve,
I am experiencing some problems with my system and wonder if you have any words of help.

About a minute after bootup my system bogs down to a standstill. I have looked at the active tasks and found the following:

I have 6 versions of SVCBHOST.EXE in the task list. Three version are used by SYSTEM, 2 versions for NETWORKING and one to LOCAL SERVICE. One of the versions assigned to SYSTEM is hogging the CPU. I noticed that after the bootup it hoggs in incremental steps of about 25 percent so that after a minute the CPU is 99% dedicated to that culprit. By stopping the execution of it the system seems to run well and the SYSTEM IDLE is back up to over 98%. How I ever got into this situation I dont know. Furthermore, why so many versions of SVCHOST and what is it supposed to do for the system? I hope you are familiar with the problem and the fix. If so please tell me what to do. I* hate reinstalling the system.
