[Talkrc] Anybody Fly This Weekend?

I haven't been to Zillah for several years, but it is a nice field. Been
there a couple of times with Ted Tanasse, and maybe once with one of you old
geezers, can't remember if it was John Hanson or who.
I guess it is still March. Some February's we get some good weather, but not
much has hit, at least when I have been free to fly.
We did get one weekend there that was nice enough that Scott Lewis got to
solo, and his son Samuel got some practice. I have pictures in the camera,
just need to extract them. And I did get a couple flights in one of the less
windy days-- but it was cold.
It will get better, maybe!!!

Steve,
You think you got it bad, listen to this: I looked at the wind and decided
it was terrible and going to stay that way locally. I checked the wind at
Toppenish and found it was 2 mph average and 5 peak from the East. Craig
and I loaded up about 12:15 and headed for Zillah. On the way there, a
front moved in and it was blowing a damn gale by the time we got to the
field. Looked that field over -- it is beautiful! Wind was almost as bad
as I have ever seen there, however. We tried a tasting room or two and came
home, kinda disgusted. Long trip for essentially nothing.
