Here is the story. I've been working on a new Linux server to replace the old one which supports this list. The old one was a P166 with only 64mb of ram. The new one is a PII-350 with 128mb of ram. Most important, is new software. Upgrades to the latest versions of Linux. New mail system, and new list manager. The old list manager was called Majordomo. It worked OK, but was difficult for users to subscribe and unsubscribe. The administrators, myself and Rich Roland, had to "command" it by sending commands via email. It worked, but old fashioned. The new list manager is called Mailman. Users can subscribe-unsubscribe via a web page. Administration uses web pages also, so it will be easier on Rich and I. Expect some bugs. I tested it, but only internally since an external test would require shutting down the old system. I guess this IS the test. The message you got was automatically generated and send when I moved the subscription list from the old server to the new one. Let me or Rich know of any problems.
